Soup swap

I'm going to a soup swap this weekend and decided to make my own vegetable soup stock when I saw that a can of purchased veggie soup stock is about1.35$ [versus 68 cents for chicken stock!].  I boiled some carrots, leeks, an onion, some garlic, some ginger some white peppercorns and some parsley for an hour.

It's dark out because of the rain so I'm using the flash which takes very flattering photos.  I tasted the broth after I'd boiled it and it needed a bit of salt but I'll add that later when I'm making the actual soup.

I am rich with broth now!

Oh yeah, I also had a filling replaced today for the low co-pay cost of 40$.  My new filling is white [the old one was amalgam] so now you can't even tell I had a rotten tooth once long ago.  I asked to see the tooth when my dentist removed the old filling and there were two drill holes in different parts of my tooth.  I am probably the most annoying dental patient because I ask so many questions.
