Making things

I made a knitting needle roll a couple of years ago when I was learning to knit and rediscovering how to sew.  I just made up a pattern and didn't sew the needle slots small enough so anytime I would tip the needle roll the wrong way a few things would fall out.  Now that my collection of knitting needles and crochet hooks has grown I decided to make myself a new needle holder.  I don't love the idea of rolling it all up so I made it more like a giant needle wallet.

The flaps on top keep the needles from falling out when the whole thing is closed.  There are two layers of needle pockets on each side and one clear pocket for accessories on the right side.  I'm really happy with it and so are Jag and Llorca who have already taken turns sleeping on it.

This week I had 2 custom order requests, a nursing cover and a waist pouch.  I ordered the fabric online for them and even though I have to pay for shipping, I don't have to drive out to the fabric stores as much.
